[Review] Food Tasting - Domino's 4 New Sambal Pizzas

Domino, being inspired by Asian Favorite condiment(Salaam), has unveiled four new pizzas in stores on October 29.
Personally I am someone who doesn't like spicy stuffs, except for sambal. I don't eat chilli sauce at all but I can't resist Sambal Stingray nor Sotong etc.
They let us tried the sauce but it tasted more like Korean rice-cake's sauce and I would rate the spiciness around 4/10
However when it's mixed inside the pizza, the spiciness got covered by cheese and reduced to around 3/10.
Among the four pizza my favourite would be the Tropical Sambal Prawn and Sambal Surf & Turn maybe because it has prawn in it! I'm a big fan of prawn!

And Domino has four amazing crust available to choose upon ordering pizzas.
1. Classic Hand Tossed
2. Crunchy Thin Crust
3. New York Crust
4. Cheese Burst
& My Favorite is....... THIN CRUST! <3 It's really nice and I believe there are many people who would remove the crust area because it's thick and doesn't taste nice but with the thin crust, you can definitely finish the whole pizza slice without removing the crust~

Picture during the Food-Tasting Events

Tropical Sambal Prawn:
Topped with succulent prawns marinated in herbs and spices, fresh onions, pineapples, red peppers and basil
Traditional Sambal:
Comes along with shredded chicken, anchovies, fresh onion, pickled chilli and green peppers
Sambal Veggie:
Topped with fresh mushrooms, green peppers, onions, olives and tomatoes
Sambal Surf & Turf:
Features succulent prawns marinated in herbs and spices, shredded chicken, fresh onions, pineapples, red peppers and basil

Beside their pizza, Domino has awesome sides that I totally love.
Crazy Chicken Crunchies(Original Flavor), Golden Roasted Drummet, and Chocolate Lava Cake!

Mingling in Progress
Took a picture with Mr. Keith, Operating Manager. & Okay, maybe not that much of mingling around, but say HI TO MY FUN-SIZED FRIEND - KaMan! Became friends during the trip to Genting and though we only met the second time, we talk and 'suan' each other as though we were friends for years! Cute and bubbly character and thankful that she's there with me getting lost in Kovan ~

Antioxidant Fruit Salad

Antioxidant Fruit Salad  Making Session (:
I learn to make this during my Blackmores workshop last month, and finally decided to try it out.
It's easy, healthy & pretty to make and eat~
 INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (Serves 4-6 Pax)
1 Full Mango/ 3 Slices of Mango (DICED)
1 Pack/Box of Blueberry
1 Pack of Strawberry (DICED)
1 Bag of  Red/White Grapes Appx. 300g (HALVED)
2 Teaspoon of Lemon Juice
3-4 Teaspoon of Honey

Step 1: Cut up the fruits to bite-size so it's easier to eat.
Step 2: Throw them all into mixing bowl
Step 3: Add in lemon juice & honey, stir it well but not too rough
Step 4: Chill it in the fridge for roughly an hour
Step 5: Serve it cold (:

Fruits that you can add as well would include:
 Peach
Blackcurrant
Black Berry
Pomegranate
You can actually mix and match the fruits, it's just that the four fruits listed happen to be my favourite fruits. Just add in fruits that you like, you can alter to your own taste.
Try it out and let me know how it goes (:
HAVE FUN!

Dim Sum L❤VE Buffet

Purchased 2 deals from deal.com 2 months ago and we decided to FINALLY use it today!(Lol, literally 5days before expiring, before we redeem this voucher)
It is a deal for an ala carte buffet, Dim Sum Love @ China Square Central(Chinatown)
It seems good since it's $17.90 only and they sold more than 2.5k deals for it.

Out-look of the Restaurant

Restaurant Menu
Mad excited because it has been ages since I ate Dim Sum, boyf was anticipating for it too since he loved Dim Sum, but of course more me than it /flip-hair
We arrived earlier so we can eat more, but I was quite disappointed because there are many restrictions that wasn't stated on the website before we purchase. & also plain water not complementary, costs $0.50
  • Last order at 4PM(though it was stated that buffet was 3-5)
  • Only after you finished your orders, before you can order another round of food
  • Maximum 3 rounds of ordering
  • Can only maximum order $39.90 worth of food per pax
All these restriction makes me feel so time-constrained, I kept stuffing the food with boyf so as to make full use of our vouchers. However, the food was considered good, so I'm not going to complain further. However, do note that all the bun seems to be mini-version as compared to those outside.

We ordered, respectively (didn't have time to try all the food on menu)
  • Carrot-Cake
  • Egg Tart
  • 烧卖- SiewMai
  • 蝦餃- HarGao
  • 莲蓉包 - Lian-Rong Bao
  • 叉烧包 - Char-Siew Bao
  • 小笼包 - Xiao-Long Bao
  • 流沙包 - Custard Bun
  • Peanut Porridge
  • Chee-Cheong Fun (Prawn(L) Char-Siew(R)
  • Paper Wrapped Chicken
Good: Egg Tart, Custard Bun, Peanut Porridge, Chee-Cheong Fun.
Egg Tart - bite-sized, the egg part is smooth and nice
Custard Bun - even though the sauce doesn't flow like how I hope it would be but it still tasted good
Porridge - Smooth, layered with my favourite chicken(?) floss. totally my favourite kind of porridge!
Chee-Cheong Fun - It would be awesome without the fillings, outer layer is smooth and sauce is just nice
I totally love this few items that I can keep eating more than 3 rounds if there isn't any restrictions.

Bad: 莲蓉包& Paper Wrapped Chicken
莲蓉包 - Boyf said filling tasted very bad, that he tried to stuff it into my coke so as to avoid extra charges.
Paper Wrapped Chicken - Chicken was stuck to the paper and it was quite troublesome to eat it
-
We managed to eat around $35++ per pax so it wasn't too waste but I think we both stuffed too much food into our stomach that I felt like I'm pregnant whereas he keep saying he want to puke :l
Stuffing my last custard bun while snapping pictures(I have the habit of stuffing food to my cheeks like hamsters) & he tried mimicking me.
HAPPY DIM-SUM DAY & IT'S TIME TO CHIONG STUDY TOMORROW!

[SPONSORED TRIP] Nuffnang Evangelist Genting 2D1N Trip P2

As I was saying in the previous post, we are only left with 1.5 of sleep before getting up for breakfast.
So I set my alarm at 7.15,7.30,7.45, but I off'd every single alarm and continue to sleep. & we finally decided to wake up at 7.50AM, meaning we're only left with 10minutes to wash up before meeting up with the rest for breakfast. -SLEEP DEPRIVE-
But when it comes to breakfast, all the sleepy-bug went away, and kept my mood happy! :D
We had breakfast at their WORLD CLUB LOUNGE which was at Tower 2 Level 28, one floor above us.
Personally I felt that the breakfast variety is quite little but the food is quite good though.
I had bread w cheese, cornflakes, porridge w peanuts, pancakes, ham, curry chicken & egg omelette for breakfast. The picture above demonstrated how big eater I'm and I guess that explains my size.
YUM YUM (:
-
After a satisfying breakfast, we are finally going to the main attraction of this trip - SNOW WORLD
-SCREAMMMMMS-
Snow World has been around for quite long, except that it has been renovated recently, perhaps that's why we got invited to experience the newly renovated Snow World~
Some information about the Snow World:
Location
Level T2A, First World Plaza
Dress Code
* Winter jacket, boots and gloves will be provided free of charge.
* No Bermudas or shorts. No slippers. Socks and long pants are compulsory.

FYI Snow World's temperature is - 6 degree Celsius. Standing right outside the door I can feel how cold it is already, and when I'm inside my nose leaks like tap water, and my leg feels so cold.
Here I am, showing some love to the ice snow man!
Anyway for Snow World we played games, something like Running Man - Amanda's Favorite
We got separated into 5 groups and I joined Team Ben's w Jowey, Mabel & KaMan.
1st Game: Complete the task written on the card
Quest 1 - Find a kid to give you a kiss
The kid that rejected us
Yes, for rejecting us, you'll get your face posted here to let people know you rejected Typical Ben's Team
Second Attempt succeeded! Except the mum request for $10 per kiss
Quest 2: Make a Snowman & take picture with it.
We managed to find the body but it doesn't have the head, so what to do?
We use Jowey's head to replace Snowman's one. See the resemblance there?
Quest 3: Find a Crew in there to carry one of the members

Quest 4: Take picture with a lady in spectacles

2nd Game: 15 Heart-Ball was hidden in the Snow World. The one that gathered most, wins.
Sadly, I only managed to find two. & I'm the only one in the team that found heart-ball -beamed with pride-

Even though we didn't managed to win either games, but most importantly we had a lot of fun, that is totally irreplaceable.
Aftermath = Picture Taking Again

-
Planned to enjoy soaking in the bathtub but everything got delayed and we were only left with 30minutes before checking out & we rushed like mad /sigh
After checked out, we get to eat again #thehappiestmoment
But the food wasn't to my liking though because everything seems so oily.
Chicken rice, Prata & so on. I'm not a veggie person but I choose to eat their Salad instead, and surprising it tasted fabulous that I ate two bowls of it. If anyone seen this brand of salad in SG let me know k? Oh & my dessert got destroyed after the 7 hours journey back with me.
-
With this, I ended my 2D1N): IT WASN'T  ENOUGH AT ALL!
Not enough time to mingle around to make friends nor get to know all of them, only managed to make friends with like 60% of them?
I want to sing k with the girls, play bowling, chat through the nights again with my favorite girls~
I HEARTS YOU ALL <3
Ending off with a group photo outside Snow World
Hi, if I used your pictures without crediting please let me know, for some I completely forgot where did my source come from. & Thanks Mabel for sharing w me the pictures because I didn't bring camera up there ):
-
Holiday is coming in just one month's time.
Remember to book & enjoy your holidays in Genting w ResortWorldGenting
&&& Thanks Nuffnang & RWG for inviting & sponsoring me for this trip
